Meghan Freed and Kristen Marcroft are proud to announce that Freed Marcroft is again sponsoring the GLAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders) event “Connecticut: Making History, Changing Lives” this Sunday, March 10, 2014, at The Studio at Firebox Restaurant in Hartford, Connecticut.
GLAD works in New England and nationally to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.
Sunday’s event will honor Becky and John Glezen. According to GLAD:
Becky and John Glezen have been strong advocates and leaders of the Greater Hartford PFLAG Chapter for the past 15 years. Not only have Becky and John worked tirelessly to improve the health, safety, and well-being of the LGBT community, but they have also been great activists in federal legislative initiatives, communities of faith, and educational institutions.
Jennifer Levi, GLAD’s Transgender Rights Project Director, will also make remarks.
Lawyers Meghan Freed and Kristen Marcroft publish the Connecticut LGBT Law Project as a resource of legal news and commentary for the Connecticut lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and their friends, families, and allies.
At their law firm, Freed Marcroft LLC, Meghan and Kristen practice estate planning, family, real estate, litigation, business and non-profit planning, and LGBT immigration law in the historic Linden building on Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The attorneys’ practice is welcoming to all Connecticut individuals, families, and small businesses, especially including same sex couples and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.
